Weightlifting Belts Decrease Injuries

Weightlifting belts, also known as weight belts, are worn to support the lower back and abdomen when lifting weights. Both amateur and seasoned power lifters rely on this comfortable accessory to prevent muscle strains, damaged disks, and hernias. Wearing this support reduces pressure in the lower back and prevents the lifter from overextending their back when lifting weights over their head. Besides supporting the back and spine, the abdomen and sides are also protected.
