If you are in the process of choosing a laser hair removal machine you are probably aware that there are quite a few on the market and you may be confused about your selection. One of the problems is that you do not know who to believe. The ads will tell you the dream scenario of being able to treat yourself using your machine so that your unwanted hair completely disappears without the expense and inconvenience of professional treatment in a clinic.
Somehow you suspect that things are not as easy as that or everyone would be raving about the product. You worry it is a scam and it is true that most of these products are not as good as they are portrayed by the advertisers.
The main thing to check up is whether the machine you are looking at is actually suitable for your skin and hair coloring. If you have dark skin or light hair there is no home machine which will be effective for you, so you are better to save your money for professional laser hair treatment. And even then laser treatment might not be your best option.
Also check that the machine is suitable for the areas of your body you want to treat and that you will be able to access those areas yourself easily (or you will need a willing accomplice to help!) Many of the machines (in particular the ones which work) are too powerful for the untrained to use on the face, so check if the machine is suitable before you buy.
Finally check to see if there are any real buyer reviews online. Look on the forums and those websites which give consumer opinions and see what you can find. You still need to take care that glowing reviews are not posted there by those with a vested interest in the product but you can usually read between the lines easily enough and find genuine buyers to get a balanced view.
