How to Lose Weight in 2 Weeks

Losing weight in 2 weeks is a piece of cake. Well, not literally. Although you could eat a piece of cake each day and still lose weight, you won’t be able to optimise your weight loss over a period of 2 weeks.

What I am about to expose is a diet plan for losing 2-4 kilos of body fat in 2 weeks. I’ll also include a few slimming tips to help you maximise your results.

The first thing you need to do is decide on how many calories you want to consume each day and how you want to consume them. As I mentioned earlier, you could eat a piece of cake a day and still lose weight in 2 weeks – if your calories consumed are still below those you expend. I have a friend who sucks on chocolate all day and still manages to lose weight – she just makes sure that her total chocolate calories are less than 1000 per day.

You could lose weight in 2 weeks on a healthier diet plan of 4 x 2-300 calorie meals each day of fibre rich and nutrient dense food. Eating at regular intervals will ensure your metabolism won’t slow down and high fibre foods will keep you feeling satisfied throughout the day. Drink about a litre of water before you start your day, optimally warm with a squeeze of lemon. Lemon juice will give your liver a boost – it’s the organ that will be doing all the fat-burning work after all.

So, approaching it sensible, a sample daily low fat diet plan would look something like this:

Arising

1 litre of warm water with lemon juice, sipped intermittently until Breakfast.

Breakfast

6 tablespoons of raw oatmeal, cooked with water. Add a serve of blueberries, banana or apple to sweeten.

Lunch

Large salad with steamed vegetables and 1 cup of cooked millet, quinoa or brown rice.

Snack

1-2 pieces of fruit or vegetable sticks with 2 tablespoons of hummus.

Dinner

Vegetable soup with 1 cup of cooked legumes.

Don’t forget to drink warm water with lemon juice between meals or to stave of hunger pains.

There are a large number of online calorie counters you can utilise to create daily menus and keep your calories in check. If you want to lose weight in a week, you’ll need to make sure you have a weekly calorie deficit of 5000.

Another slimming tip is complete abstinence from salt. Salt carries a lot of water in the body and this water weight will disappear after 3 days if you eat a low sodium diet. If you want to crank it up a notch, you can add some exercise to your day but be careful not to overdo it – you’ll be surprised how much exercise can enhance your appetite.
