Marius Bakken’s 100 Day Marathon Plan Review

Marius Bakken’s 100 Day Marathon Plan is an e-book that is designed to help marathon runners of different levels of experience. This book is a product of everything Dr. Marius Bakken learned as a two time Olympic runner. He trained with the best, and all of his knowledge has been included in this book.

This medical doctor and former Olympic runner trained for a year in Kenya. After that, he trained in Italy with the best runners and coaches. He was just like any serious runner in that he wanted to be the best and continually improve his personal record.

A mixed approach

This training guide consists of the best practices used by Kenyan and Italian runners. There are actually 8 different training regimens included and the one chosen will depend on the runner’s desired finishing time goal.

This unique approach guarantees that a runner gets the stamina and endurance that runners from Kenya have. In addition, they are conditioned to perform their best during competitions just like the best Italian runners.

Run faster and longer

Through Dr. Bakken’s approach, a marathon runner’s training never goes stagnant. There are different training plans to make sure that a runner keeps on improving even at higher levels which makes it ideal for marathon runners of any level.

The unique approach incorporates the long run in a training session without over training. A run/walk approach is used which consists of 70% running and 30% walking. There are also enough “rest periods” for the runner.

This marathon plan covers everything including maintaining an ideal weight. A runner diet can watch what they eat and calculate it through the tools included in this e-book. The book even gives important advice. It can even help a runner choose the best pair of running shoes.

The book also includes twenty five supplementary videos with step by step instructions to help you follow the training program. It also gives access to the forum where all a runner’s questions can be answered by Dr. Bakken himself.
