The 3 Components of Tight Abs

1. Planning and motivation

  • Motivation – You can motivate yourself by writing down your reasons for wanting to get flat abs on a piece of paper and by reading it every morning and evening.
  • Planning – You have to get a plan of action if you want to build flat abs. Setting goals will help you to set up that plan. Remember to include exercise, diet and other goals.

2. Diet

  • Fat burning diet – In order to see your abs, you have to burn off your excess tummy fat. A fat burning diet will help you do that. Have look at the most popular diets and find a healthy and balanced one that will help you lose fat.
  • Cupboard and fridge spring clean – To make sure that you don’t snack on unhealthy things, rid your fridge and cub boars from all the cheat foods.
  • Smart snacks – Make sure that your diet include lots of smart snacks (otherwise include your own). Good snack choices are: nuts, fruits, veggie stick and fat free yogurt.

3. Exercise

  • Weight training – Train with weights for 3 times a week doing upper and lower body for 30 minutes at a time. Weight training burns a lot of fat and boosts your metabolism.
  • Cardio – The only cardio you should be spending your time on is cardio interval training. Do it for 20 minutes at a time, 3 times a week – it burns a lot of calories and fat.
  • Abs specific exercises – Include abs exercises with your lower body training day. Do the following exercises: crunches, the bicycle exercise and the plank exercise.
